Equation of state measurement

by Lauren Parmington (Buffalo City Honors School) and John Shtarker (Williamsville East High School)

This applet permits measurement of the pressure of a fluid at fixed density and temperature. The numbers in the table indicate the pressure exerted on each of the four walls surrounding the simulation volume. The square-well model potential (with epsilon/k = 1000 K) is used to describe the interactions between the molecules. Use the slider to vary the temperature. After making a change, reset the averages so the measurements from the old state are not included in the new averages.
